New Lynn Supportive Housing for At-Risk Youth

Catalyst Housing is a collaborative housing initiative between The Haven Project and Harborlight Homes. These two programs teamed up with the goal to provide permanent, supportive housing for homeless young adults aged 18-24. Catalyst is located at 65 Munroe Street in Lynn and offers 24 affordable, permanent, supportive studio apartments, with wraparound services provided by The Haven Project to assist residents in achieving long-term stability.

The historic brick building has four floors. Residential units are on the third and fourth floors. The second floor houses The Haven Project’s client services center, and the first floor accommodates The Haven Project’s social enterprise café, Land of a Thousand Hills, where THP team runs the job readiness program. Each floor is interconnected, integrated uniquely to present pathways for unhoused or at-risk young adults. Together, they are not only providing work and a home, but creating an environment where young adults can recognize their potential and become productive and contributing members of their communities.

Construction began in early spring of 2024 and was recently completed, as marked by the upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday, Friday, May 9th, 2025. The apartments are designed to be safe, stable, and affordable, with on-site laundry facilities and resident support services. Units include heat, air conditioning, electricity, and water. Residents are responsible for phone, Wi-Fi, and cable.

Catalyst Housing is part of a larger effort to address the housing crisis and support vulnerable populations in our area.
