RESOURCES AND SERVICES DATA JUNE 2025
ECO worked with local police departments and other community partners this month to bring services and resources to Essex County residents, housed and unhoused. Here are some numbers from our activity in June of 2025.
Rides provided: 20
For clients who are not able to access services and resources due to transportation barriers, ECO provides rides to destinations such as detox, IP/OP treatment, clinics, AA/NA meetings, the hospital, court, doctor’s appointments, and other recovery-related appointments.
If you would like to apply for a ride voucher, please request an application through our contact form or get in touch with one of our Recovery Coaches.
Scholarships provided in 2025: 70
As of this month, ECO has provided 70 unique individuals with sober living scholarships, totaling $35,250 in awarded funds. We want to thank our sober home partners for all of the work they do creating a safe and sober space for those who need it.
Outreaches conducted: 150
ECO conducts outreaches via phone, in person, alongside police officers, at shelters, on the street, in the community, at community events, through service projects, etc.
Clients who accepted services: 75
After the initial outreach, ECO continues to follow up with clients to ensure they are successfully connected to the services and resources they need. Our goal is to support clients long-term through ECO Recovery Coaches—and in many cases, that’s exactly what happens. Thanks to the dedication of our team and strong collaborative partnerships, we consistently achieve high rates of follow-up and engagement.
Follow-ups/client engagements: 450+
After an initial outreach, ECO follows up to engage with clients and ensures they are properly connected to services and resources. It is our hope that clients will utilize ECO Recovery Coaches long-term; in many cases, this happens. Due to the hard work of our team and collaborative efforts, we consistently have high numbers of follow-ups and engagements. Please note, this number includes each unique engagement had with clients.

YOUnity Backpack Stuffing Event | Tuesday, June 10th
Gloucester, MA — On June 10th, Essex County Outreach was happy to join YOUnity in Gloucester for a heartwarming and impactful community backpack stuffing event, bringing together local providers, volunteers, and organizations in a shared mission—to equip community members with critical resources.
Backpacks were filled with comfort items, basic need items, emergency preparedness materials, and useful resource information from several local organizations.
Over the course of two hours, participants went table to table filling each backpack. A very large number of backpacks were “stuffed” for distribution across local youth-focused organizations, housing services, mental health services, crisis services, public health agencies, community groups, and more.
The event served as a valuable point of connection between organizations, strengthening the local safety net. YOUnity’s collaborative model encourages ongoing partnerships to better respond to the evolving needs of the community. We appreciated being a part of it.
