ECO is honored that we’re able to host a community pop-up shop on December 14th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at 80 Elm St, Salisbury, MA. A pop-up like this is essentially a temporary, free “store” created to make donated clothing and essentials easily accessible to people who need them.
If you cannot or do not wish to attend the pop-up but want to contribute to the cause, you can drop off donations on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. through December 13th at 58 Main Street, Salisbury, MA. If you’re interested in volunteering, please text 978-255-3061 for more information.
Here’s what to expect on December 14th:
1. A welcoming, store-like setup
Tables and racks are arranged so people can browse clothing, shoes, coats, and accessories just like they would in a retail shop, but everything is free.
2. Dignity-focused
Guests can choose what they want and what fits their style, size, and needs. There’s no pressure, no eligibility requirements, and no judgment.
3. A community event
Neighbors, families, and individuals come together, and volunteers help greet guests, organize items, and restock as the day goes on. It’s a special event to be part of, and ECO is very honored to host.
4. A way to redistribute resources
Donations from the community immediately go back into the community, ensuring that people experiencing financial hardship or housing instability can get warm clothing and essentials.
Any donations not picked up at the pop-up shop on December 14 will be donated to local agencies supporting youth and families.
Because this pop-up shop will only open for a few hours on December 14, all our energy will be focused on creating the best possible experience for visitors with the resources available.
