This month, Essex County Outreach is proud to expand its presence on Cape Ann through a new partnership with the CORE Peer Recovery & Resource Center in Gloucester. ECO Recovery Coaches are now providing scheduled office hours and flexible availability at CORE, creating another accessible location where individuals and families can receive free recovery support and resource navigation.
Located at 11–15 Parker Street, Suite 212, Gloucester, CORE is a peer-led recovery community center offering free membership and services to adults ages 18 and older. Youth are able to visit the center and receive coaching support if they are accompanied.
Through this collaboration, individuals can meet one-on-one with an ECO Recovery Coach for assistance with treatment navigation, recovery planning, referrals to community resources, harm reduction education, recovery support, and ongoing encouragement. Our Recovery Coaches are also available to help connect individuals with detox, residential treatment, outpatient services, recovery housing, behavioral health resources, and other community supports based on each person’s unique needs and goals.
Beyond scheduled appointments, ECO Recovery Coaches will utilize office hours to strengthen relationships with CORE members, collaborate with partner agencies, provide follow-up support, and increase awareness of local recovery resources throughout Cape Ann. Coaches will also participate in support groups, educational programming, and community events when appropriate, further expanding opportunities for individuals to connect with recovery services.
CORE offers a wide range of free programming, including peer support, recovery coaching, wellness classes, support groups, family education, job readiness assistance, computer access, sober social activities, volunteer opportunities, and connections to community resources. By bringing ECO Recovery Coaches directly into this recovery-focused environment, we hope to make support more accessible while strengthening collaboration among organizations serving Gloucester, Rockport, Ipswich, and surrounding communities.
This partnership reflects ECO’s continued commitment to meeting individuals where they are and building stronger pathways to recovery through collaboration, accessibility, and community connection.
