Black Balloon Day: Community Moment of Silence Across Essex County

Essex County Outreach is coordinating a shared 60-second moment of silence at 12:00 PM (EST) in recognition of Black Balloon Day. This observance is part of our broader Black Balloon Day recognition efforts alongside local police departments and community partners who work tirelessly and compassionately with individuals and families impacted by substance use.
This moment of silence honors the lives lost to overdose and substance use disorder while reaffirming our collective commitment to prevention, outreach, harm reduction, and recovery.
Community members are invited to join us virtually via Zoom (link in description) or to observe the moment quietly on their own, whether at work, at home, alone, or with loved ones or colleagues. All are welcome.
