Recovery City Screening at RCA

On Friday, March 14th, at 7:00 p.m., RCA (Recovery Centers of America) Danvers Alumni Association will host an evening of hope and resilience. The night will feature a screening of Recovery City, a powerful documentary directed by Lisa Olivieri, followed by a Q&A with the director and participants from the film.
Recovery City follows the inspiring journeys of four women from Worcester, MA, whose lives share a common thread: addiction. Christine fights to regain custody of her young children while dealing with a traumatic past and facing stigma from the very systems designed to help her. Bridget, who found recovery while incarcerated, now runs peer-led support meetings for women. Recovery coaches Janis and Rebecca navigate the city’s toughest corners, offering support as recovery coaches. In this portrait of resilience, grit, and camaraderie, the women refuse to give up hope and use their lived experience to raise up those still battling active addiction. Watch the trailer here.
